Who the fuck is WOWBEGGAR ?

Wowbeggar

What do you get when Caribbean/Latin Soul and fury collides with Dutch driving guitars, fine melodies and divers percussion, that will give you a new found energy and throbbing emotion.

You will get a stirred up mix called Wowbeggar. Lets call it alternative metal, or ..no.. even better, just call it WOWBEGGAR.

A 5 piece entity just born one year ago. With all different backgrounds, from the Caribbean to the cold European wastelands, this band is a promising new band, to hit the metal-world with a unknown vibe.

Wowbeggar's roots go back for about 3 years. When guitarist David Berghoef and Marlon van Gent decided to form a different band, a band with equal members and a 200% dedication to the music that the 2 guys wanted to create. After a short period of time bass-player Vincent Berghoef joins the clan and the search for other suitable members and music style has began.

After many auditions and different formations, Wowbeggar almost gave up searching for 2 other members. But due to their pursistance of wanting to make their ideas into good solid songs, they decided to go on trying to get the right people for the job. Then, Oktober 2001 the formation is completed, with Patrick Oehlers on drums and Reuben Portillo on vocals, the unity and vibe was found. This 5 piece decided to write their songs in a very short period so that their goal, recording their debut EP SO..!?!, could be achieved.

In August 2002 they started recording their EP with producer Danny O'Really( worked with different bands like deicide, biohazard, retturn) and put together the 6 emotional tracks. The album was finished in September 2002.

Now, November 2002, their haunt for a record deal has started. With a list of gigs, Wowbeggar will spread their disease, sharing the stage with all kinds of metal-bands.
